Amazing Wildlife Near Kissimmee: Local Kissimmee Wildlife Viewing is Only a Short Drive from Magic Moments
Many of our guests come to Florida hoping to see what Florida is famous for – Gators! Luckily there are a couple of great options for where you can get up close and personal with the amazing wildlife near Kissimmee. All of them offer unique opportunities to see gators, birds, and all kinds of other animals. Pack a cooler and hit the road on a wildlife drive!
Only 20 miles (35 minutes by car) from Magic Moments, Gatorland offers both animals and adventure. At Gatorland, it isn’t just Gators, although there are plenty of those! You can also see wildcats, snakes, tortoises, birds, and even small critters like toads, lizards, and scorpions.
The adventure park also offers unique experiences that offer excitement for the intrepid among you. For 12 and up, they offer a trainer for a day tour that gives you a glimpse of what it takes to work with dangerous animals. If that is a bit too “up close”, they also offer a new off-roading adventure for those 36 inches and up in height that takes you through different eco systems and gets you closer to some of Florida’s natural beauty and animals. Everyone in the family is sure to find something to love here.
Central Florida’s most spectacular and unique wildlife sanctuary is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7 to 3. As long as you arrive by 3, you can stay until 5 PM to enjoy the wildlife drive. The drive is an eleven-mile, one-way excursion from the comfort of your own car. If your infant or toddler likes to sleep in the car, this is a great way to entertain the rest of the family while the little ones nap. It is about a 40-minute drive from Magic Moments. Best of all it is free!
The Circle B Bar Reserve is a nature reserve that offers over six miles of spectacular hikes. A 2022 Tripadvisor Traveler’s Choice award winner, it is sure to satisfy that desire to get out in the wild.
